Unable to delete PO after deleting the frei_Version of WBS.

Experts,

I'm unable to delete/set a deletion flag/lock the PO after deleting the WBS element completely (from CJ20n and also from the project version) from the system.

when I try to delete and then save, it throws an error " WBS element does not exists".

Note: Me22n -> under Account assignment tab, it shows the WBS element number eg. <<>> that is deleted.

Please advise on this as to how to delete the PO. We feel that deleting the PO at the table level is risky, so trying out other options.
